Coffee really is the perfect date. Not only does drinking coffee make you find those around you more welcoming and trusting (link), but it is also a date that can last ten minutes or three hours (depending on how much affinity you have with your date). In this inaugural blog post, we take you to three of London’s best coffee dates.
At a five minute walk from Oxford Circus, the award-winning Kaffeine is about as central as one can get for a first date. As soon as you step through the door, your senses will be knocked off their feet by the smell of fresh coffee and the sight of delicious food; we suggest grabbing a latte each, and something chocolatey to share. If you and your date are fans of each other, you should head east towards the fantastic restaurants on Charlotte Street.

Monmouth – Borough Market
Monmouth is arguably London’s most famous independent coffee company, and for good reason. Their flagship store can be found amongst the culinary delights of Borough Market and often has a queue out the door. Given its popularity, we suggest coming on a weekday when it is a bit quieter and taking your coffees for a walk along London’s picturesque southbank.
Address: 2 Park Street, The Borough, SE1 9AB
Bar Italia – Soho
Bar Italia is only closed two hours a day (5am to 7am), making it the perfect coffee date for night-owls. If you can wait a few weeks, a fantastic date idea is to meet at 10pm on a December evening and to take a slow stroll down the christmas light lit streets of Westminster, before heading to Bar Italia for a midnight coffee.
